HOCKEY: A 3-1 loss at Redditch finished Stourport Ladies' first half of the Worcestershire League Division One campaign in disappointing fashion.
Their final match before Christmas is a friendly with Bretforton on Saturday.
Old Sils 1 Stourport 2nds 2
Tentative Stourport had many of their squad playing in unfamiliar positions and failed to use the wings properly.
But they still took the lead in their Division Two clash on 15 minutes with a well-taken strike from Lucy Holmes.
Old Sils equalised on 30 minutes when keeper Charlotte Manley blocked a shot only for the ball to roll over the goal-line.
With Karen McIntyre and Jess Trundle swapping roles, Stourport regained the lead on 55 minutes through Rosie Connolly.
The home side were then denied by Manley's fine reaction saves.
Worcester 4ths 1 Stourport 3rds 2
The thirds claimed a hard-fought victory with a strong all-round defensive display and inspired passing game.
Stourport took the lead on 25 minutes when hard tackling and a good run by Alex Totney set up Georgina Burns who swept home her cross at the far post.
They doubled the advantage within two minutes when Jean Senior crossed for Kim Whitehouse to fire home.
Pat Terry and Sara Jennings blocked shots before Worcester pulled a goal back late on.
Stourport 4ths 0 Studley 3
The fourths' first match ended in defeat but it was a major achievement for the club.
They included two players making their competitive debuts and an 11-year-old.
Fixtures, Saturday: Stourport 1sts v Bretforton (2pm), Bretforton v 2nds, Cannock 5ths v 4ths (11am).
