WEDNESDAY CLUB: Met on December 3 when Mrs M Boath presided. A few minutes silence was observed for the passing of Mrs Janet Charlton who had been a good friend to the club, having helped with the teas for a number of years.
A raffle was held when prizes were donated by Mrs Peggy Miller, Mrs Massey, Mrs Crook, Mrs Seddon and Mrs Boath and £100 will be given to The Willows, stroke ward at Evesham Hospital. Mince pies for tea were donated by committee members and tea served by Mrs Neal and helpers.
Mrs Mary Miller took over the programme for the afternoon. She was deputising for the vicar, the Rev Colin Mattock. She organised the carol singing and gave the reading.
