TREES around Worcester are being lined up for removal and thinning.
Residents in the city have applied for permission to fell two trees, while others might be reduced in size.
Homeowners fearing subsidence want to uproot a Norway maple at 73 Shap Drive, Warndon, while a yew tree outside 35 Battenhall Road could be cut down.
Another tree, at 10 Sheepscombe Drive, Blackpole, and a sycamore at Camp Hill Road, Battenhall, might be thinned if planners from Worcester City Council give the applications the go-ahead.
Planners are also considering approving a draft bid to build a new home in Rainbow Hill. Homeowners at 52, Rainbow Hill want to erect a one-bedroom dwelling at the rear of their home.
Meanwhile, a detailed application has been submitted by the owner of 56 Cavendish Street, Cherry Orchard, for permission to erect a detached garage at the rear of the property.
