DRIVERS could face traffic delays as work continues on the installation of a new sewer lining in a Worcester City centre road.
Severn Trent workers are installing the lining, along New Road, as part of an extension to the recent sewerage works carried out in adjoining Hylton Road, last month.
The works in Hylton Road caused traffic chaos and disruption for motorists, residents and businesses in the area.
A spokesman for Severn Trent said this morning: "There are very old and large sewer lines under New Road which require a lot of work.
"We are hoping to keep disruption to a minimum and are working hard to complete the work as soon as possible in time for Christmas."
He said that progress indicated the project in New Road should be complete by Friday, December 19.
