CAMPAIGNERS against Tetra masts in Alcester have just launched a new website to put people in the know about more planned for the area.

Alcester Community against Tetra (ACT) says there are an increasing number of health issues relating to the masts - which are the new communication system for the emergency services.

ACT was formed to raise awareness of the health issues regarding the new technology and to get Tetra stopped, not just locally but nationally.

Resident and campaigner Nina Knapman said: "While we fully support anything that helps the emergency services to operate more efficiently, we strongly believe that Tetra should be halted now and until such time that all health concerns can be scientifically addressed.

"We already have three masts in our area and we need to take action now to stop more."

ACT still needs volunteers to help in a variety of areas - in particular they are looking for anyone with legal knowledge to join them and advise on the actions that can be taken.

They are hoping people will get in touch through the new site.

Mrs Knapman added: "The website will be specifically to address the issues and give the community an opportunity to find out details, do further research, sign a petition against Tetra and to become involved in an important aspect of all our futures."
