A REDDITCH headteacher was 'delighted' the mayor launched a new School Council.
Ipsley Middle School pupils have been writing manifestos and campaigning to become school councillors and the council was opened by Kieth Boyd-Carpenter.
There was a 100 per cent voter turnout and 25 members were voted onto the council, which will deal with issues including the school environment and community and lunchtime and after-school activities.
Headteacher Phil Mitchell said: "The mayor spoke to the council of the importance of listening to better represent others' views."
