NOVEMBER was a busy month for the Malvern & Worcester group. The AGM took place at Osbourne Court in Malvern. There was a change of chairman and the committee was reduced to five members because of the lack of volunteers.

A proposal was put forward that the group starts charging a subscription of £3 per household each year.

This is because of increasing membership, more newsletters each month and quarterly are being sent out at a cost of about 84p each.

At the meeting at Bilford Court, Worcester, illness to the speaker caused a problem.

However, a member's husband ably filled the gap and spoke about being a volunteer fireman.

In 2004, at the January 6 meeting at Osbourne Court, Annie Peel, Midlands Volunteer Recruitment Officer, will talk about the possibility of getting a volunteer to help run the group.

Then on January 17 at Bilford Court, speaker Elaine Such's topic will be reflexology.
