TWO men were pronounced dead at the scene following a tragic car accident near Ombersley yesterday morning.
The bodies of a male driver and male passenger of a green Ford Fiesta were freed by firemen after a collision with a tree near the Claines roundabout on the A449, between Ombersley and Crossley Green around 6.20am.
A doctor confirmed the double fatality at 6:54am and the bodies were taken to Worcester Royal Infirmary by ambulance.
Road diversions were put in place as the Ombersley slip-road was closed and the Worcester-bound side of the dual carriageway was reduced to one lane.
