E F Showell (You Say, Friday, November 28) doubts whether the UK Independence Party could ever form a government.

Our task would be more difficult than that of a government formed from any other party because we would be formulating our own policy and not just "rubber-stamping" directives from Brussels.

However, we have a lot of talent from all walks of life, and we can't wait to free ourselves from the restraints of the EU, restore full border controls, reduce red-tape and bureaucracy, and spend the billions and billions of pounds that we will save on our own public services.
