NOT content with sending our forces out to Iraq with inferior equipment unsuitable for desert warfare, I read in the national Press that the Ministry of Defence is now refusing to forward Christmas parcels donated by firms and charities to our forces because it would overwhelm the supply chain.
Could I inform Scrooge Hoon that even before the illegal invasion of Iraq, Christmas Day was on my calendar as December 25, so there was plenty of warning.
However, the Americans in true supportive fashion for their forces, and in recognition of dangers they face daily in Iraq, have organised a mass Christmas supply operation since August.
Perhaps Tony the leader of the New "Lablair" party will intervene. Or am I dreaming?
