BEFORE lecturing us on having "little idea who or what" we are voting for, John Hinton should get his own house in order.

St John's residents are all too well aware that on February 11 this year, Worcestershire County Council's Planning Committee granted its own Education Department planning permission to move Christopher Whitehead School out of town.

The cost of the forthcoming public inquiry will have been created solely by the county council, against the advice of everyone but Tesco.

They could have used the money to regenerate the existing school.

The decision was (and is) opposed by Malvern Hills District Council, although Mr Hinton and an indignant Chrissies governor who contacted me recently seem to have been given a different story by the county council.

If Mr Hinton (or any of the governors) had attended the relevant planning meetings or read the plans they would be fully aware of the situation.

Perhaps Mr Hinton will make sure that he is properly briefed by someone independent from the county council before he makes any further pronouncements?

PAUL SAUNDERS,

CHRISS Spokesman,
