DEAR EDITOR - Why have traffic and pedestrian lights been erected on the Worcester Road outside Bromsgrove School?
I travel that road many times a week and have never seen them in use.
A year and a half ago, parents had a protest about charging pupils to use the school bus to and from Stoke Prior. Bromsgrove District Council erected traffic lights and a crossing by the entrance to Avoncroft Nursery stating that the children could walk to school now that crossing the main road had been made safe. These lights are used.
Council money has been wasted on the Worcester Road lights? This money could have funded school transport.
