DEAR EDITOR -- Yes, the Government has surely done the right thing making the use of hand-held mobile phones whilst driving an offence.
However a new and comparatively similar hazard has now begun!
Over the past few days I have had quite a number of 'near-misses' whilst driving, due to inconsiderate drivers just pulling over without warning when they need to answer their telephones!!! I am sure that the incidents of 'shunting' accidents will no-doubt increase to reflect this new hazard. It is not difficult to guess that if any of us drive into the rear of their cars...who will be to blame?
