DEAR EDITOR - On reading the front page of the Advertiser/Messenger last week I was quite excited about Bromsgrove being improved - about time!
I thought I would send you my thoughts as my husband and I are always talking about what Bromsgrove could really do with.
We are both between the ages of 29 and 35 and first of all think that the places to dine in the evening are minimal unless you want a curry! Although a curry every now and then is very nice, it would be lovely to see a good Italian restaurant perhaps, or a good wine bar. The places we tend to go for a different menu are the Nailers and the Epic which are out of town.
We also think that Bromsgrove could do with a range of different clothes shops e.g. Next, Debenhams, Marks and Spencers. There seems to be an overload of card shops (four!) and photo shops.
It would also be nice to see more coffee/caf bars because at the moment if you want to meet someone for coffee, there are limited and very small places to go.
We agree with all of the other points raised in the article, especially the free parking after 5pm. The thought of paying until 10pm which was written in another article would put more people off coming into the town - even if it is for a curry!
