DEAN Smith scored both goals as Fairfield Villa picked up three points with a 2-1 home victory over Burntwood Town.
Villa, fielding the same team in successive games for the first time this season, took an early grip on the game and went close on several occasions.
It was no surprise when they took the lead when Lloyd Dawkins headed on an Ian brown free-kick for Dean Smith to score from close range.
The visitors equalised on the stroke of half time when Richard Lyndon was on hand to head home past Dave White.
Villa dominated the start of the second half but missed chances to go in front. They had to wait until the 75th minute before Wayne Davies broke away and crossed from the right for Smith to head his second.
