MIDLAND Combination division one leaders Barnt Green Spartak lost only their third league match of the season as they were beaten 3-0 at mid-table Stockingford AA.

GJ Singh's side had their chances to score but saw Delroy Brown miss twice in the first half as well as Marvin Gorman heading against the post. And the visitors were made to pay for their misses.

Stockingford, who worked hard for their victory, didn't take the lead until the 70th minute and quickly followed it up with two goals on the break.

The Spartak boss said: "It was a very disappointing result. We played much better than the result suggests. We have lost games before and we will lose games again, it's how you react.

"There's no major problem, all we have got to do is make sure we turn it around at Handsaker this Saturday."

Spartak hope to complete the signing of midfielder Gary Choi this week.
