IMPRESSIONIST, actor, comedian and founder member of Spitting Image Steve Nallon premieres his new one-man version of Dickens' A Christmas Carol at Birmingham Repertory Theatre's The Door this week.

Using his vast array of comic and celebrity voices, Steve's line-up features Robin Williams as Fred, Patricia Routledge as Mrs Cratchit, Homer Simpson as Old Fezziwig and Kenneth Williams as Marley's Ghost.

Other "stars" include Julian Clary, Julie Andrews, Sir John Gielgud, Frank Skinner, The Flintstones and the Chuckle Brothers, with a very special guest appearance from Alastair Sim as Scrooge.

Steve Nallon studied drama and English at the University of Birmingham and went on to become an original member of Spitting Image in 1984. He has appeared on Alistair McGowan's Big Impression and The Rory Bremner Show, among others.

This is his third adaptation of a classic story using impressions, following on from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Homer's Odyssey.

Director is the REP's Resident Director Toby Frow, who made his directorial debut with the highly acclaimed A View From The Bridge in September and the original score has been composed by Richard Hammarton.

Steve Nallon's Christmas Carol runs until January 3 and tickets priced £9.75 are available from 0121 236 4455 or online at www.birmingham-rep.co.uk
