A NEW picnic area, decking and a duck feeding platform are to be included in a £75,000 improvement package at Arrow Valley Park.
Residents are being asked for their views on the plans to restore and landscape the Peace Gardens, originally created in 1983.
The gardens were created to commemorate ongoing peace between the British and Japanese since the Second World War.
It was designed as a place for people to reflect, relax and enjoy the open space but over the last 20 years, it has become overgrown and suffered vandalism.
Plans for its revamp include a gateway feature leading into the park and it is hoped the work will increase usage and reduce community safety issues.
Redditch Council's landscape and countryside manager Nat Healy said: "This will be an exciting project and will provide a quieter area for people to enjoy."
The plans can be viewed at Arrow Valley Countryside Centre and comments should be submitted before mid-December.
