DROITWICH Spa Hockey Club Men's First XI go in search of their first away victory of the season this Saturday with a trip to Barlaston.

The match is Barry Williams' side's last game before the Christmas break and comes on the back of a last gasp 3-3 home draw with Redditch last Saturday. Spa have now lost just once in their last six games.

The captain said: "That's where our problem is; we have only taken one point away from home."

Andy Harris and Phil Horton gave Spa a 2-0 lead against Redditch before the visitors got back on level terms by half time.

Spa fell behind five minutes from time and needed Horton's goal in the final seconds following Nick Adam's cross shot to win the game.

Williams added: "It was a very hard game but I think a draw was a fair result.

"It was no more than we deserved. They are one of the better team we have played so far."

Spa Seconds beat Barlaston Seconds 7-0.
