CHRISTMAS shoppers can experience the festive spirit on board a real steam train later this month.

Past-Time Rail's annual Christmas party steam train will be picking up passengers at both Worcester Foregate and Shrub Hill stations on Saturday, December 20.

A light lunch will be served en route before the train drops passengers in Cardiff, for four hours of shopping.

In addition to traditional crackers, mulled wine and mince pies, Santa and his helpers will also make an appearance to add to the fun.

Standard Class tickets cost £55 per person, with first class £75 and premier dining class £135 per person. Child discounts apply and under-five's can travel free.

The train departs from Birmingham International at 8.15am, arriving back at 9.25pm.

It stops at Kidderminster at 9.45am and returns at 8.25pm and calls at Worcester Foregate Street at 10.50am, returning at 7.40pm.
