STUDLEY boss Mark Chambers is preparing an audacious Christmas spending spree after his red-hot side registered another high-flying Midland Alliance success on Saturday.
The Bees' continued their winning ways to cement fifth spot in the Midland Alliance and Chambers is now considering preparing a festive wish list for chairman Dave Robinson.
"If we're still near the top at Christmas, then I may have to sit down with the chairman and persuade him that we can give it a real push by getting in some new players to strengthen the squad."
He added: "It's going well but we're not getting carried away. We've got a lot of difficult challenges up ahead, not least playing leaders Bridgnorth. But our confidence is growing all the time and we've now managed to put a bit of daylight between us and the teams below us, despite remaining in fifth."
In a cracking encounter at The Beehive, skipper Steve Hands headed Studley into the lead from a corner before the visitors' Carl Edwards equalised with a wonder volley.
But the home side turned up the heat before half time with Andy Johnson and Adam Blake giving them a 3-1 lead. Chances were created at both ends in the second half and Chasetown pulled a goal back with 20 minutes left on the clock.
It led to a tense finale before super sub Steve Duncan fired home the Bees' fourth which left them just four points off the top of the table.
