A WORCESTERSHIRE teenager has scooped £10,000 and an exclusive photoshoot, after winning the FHM High Street Honeys competition.

Eighteen-year-old Kayleigh Pearson said she was "absolutely stunned" to be named the UK's sexiest "girl next door" by the major men's magazine.

The University College Worcester student was picked from among 6,000 other hopefuls and was crowned overall winner at an exclusive ceremony at the Adam Street members' club in London on Monday.

The sports studies degree student has now been whisked off to Florida for her cover photoshoot, and will go on to be the second unknown girl to grace the covers of FHM magazine.

"I was really stunned and excited to win and I'll definitely be using the money to pay off my overdraft," said Miss Pearson, from Bewdley.

"There was a lot to take in on the night. The results were read out in reverse order, which built up the tension even more."

The picture she entered was originally a gift for her Army boyfriend to take to Iraq, who luckily then decided to dispatch it to the magazine. Miss Pearson will also be appearing in this Sunday's News of the World.
