JON Mann scored six goals as Hadley Rangers continued their 100 per cent record with a 10-2 win over Evesham United in the Mercian Junior Football League's U12 Division.

Mann's double hat-trick raised his league tally for the season to 20 in seven games.

However the result was in serious doubt until half time when the scores were level at 2-2.

Hadley scored in the first minute but then Evesham began to take control as Hadley pushed upfield and were caught frequently on the counter-attack by some excellent passing play down the right.

It was not surprising when Evesham took the lead and Hadley also made two desparate goal line clearances.

However, Hadley weathered the storm and levelled close to half time and they came out for the second half a different team and a skilful and powerful display produced goals at regular intervals.

Man of the match Shane Oldham scored twice for Hadley with Will Davey and Anthony Smith also on target, Daniel Hartland and Lewis Ridley the United scorers.

Newtown Sports Juniors drew 1-1 with Malvern Town Wanderers in an entertaining derby clash.

Both teams started well and attacked out of defence throughout in a well-balanced, competitive match.

Malvern took the lead just after the break when Alex Bacothanasis got round Newtown's defence and shot low, giving keeper Chris Reynolds no chance.

Within five minutes Newtown levelled when fine, determined one-touch play by Chris Debonis and Josh Allmark freed the ball for Andy Matthews to bustle through two defenders to grab the equalizer.

The game continued with waves of attacks from both teams, but Sports nearly stole the points when Louis Loader's neat pass found Allmark whose cross just eluded DeBonis in the six yard box.

Meanwhile, Dines Green Devils were unlucky to lose 2-1 at Evesham United in an U15 Division top of the table clash.

Dave Chapman had a shot saved after Anthony Seales and Matt Tudor combined well, Matt Tyler blasted over, Seales's shot dropped onto the roof of the net and Tyler hit another 25-yarder just wide.

But on 16 minutes Tyler drilled home from 20 yards after a pass from Tudor.

Ben White and Joe Blain sent shots past the upright, but on 28 minutes a harsh penalty got Evesham back on level terms. The Evesham striker appeared to be backing into Tyler and his flick struck Tyler's hand, Steve Peates scoring from the spot.

Chris Wynne headed White's corner inches past the post.

Evesham took the lead five minutes into the second period when Zac Warren had a free header from a corner kick.

The hosts shot at Rich Gardner in goal and then faced a Devils onslaught. Tudor was denied by a fine tackle, Ashley Kingdon fired over from six yards, Jamie Wharf headed just wide, Steve Knight and Wharf set up Kingdon to hit over from six yards and he also had a shot blocked on the line.

Evesham were reduced to 10 players minutes from the end for a foul on Wynne.
