MALVERN LADIES 5,

EVESHAM LADIES 2

MALVERN Ladies FC entertained Evesham Ladies FC in a Wyvern Associates Cup match at Victoria Park on Sunday.

Malvern had a couple of chances in the first five minutes but failed to convert them into goals. In the eighth minute Malvern found themselves a goal down when a through ball fell to the Evesham striker who scored from ten yards.

Three minutes later the scores were level when a fine run and cross from Becky Crack was tapped in by Emily Prosser. Malvern took the lead in the 14th minute with a powerfully struck free kick from 25 yards by Flick Slater.

A couple of good saves from Jenny Shail in the Malvern goal retained the lead at half time.

In the 60th minute a high ball over the Evesham defence by Tracey Evans was calmly finished by Emma Hinchliffe.

Five minutes later the Malvern defence failed to clear their lines and paid the price with Evesham's second goal.

Polly Bounds made it 4-2 for Malvern with a fine run and deflected shot. A fine cross by Nina Powell was then headed home by Bounds to round off a fine victory.

Sam Shail and Becky Crack both had good games for Malvern.
