MALVERN have bounced back from a losing start to their season to taste revenge over one of the few sides to beat them last year.
Malvern's Adam Green was first to a loose ball and launched a flowing threequarters move that saw Chris Prosser outflank the defence and touch down in the opposite corner. But Hereford were soon back on the offensive and had a flier of their own who scampered home to level the scores at the interval.
Malvern also conceded two penalties early in the second period and showed few signs of getting back on terms. Then a rare attack seemed to have broken down, when Tom Kennedy-Hughes sprinted through a gap for a fine opportunist try. Matt Tighe kept his nerve to slot the kick home.
Under pressure, a Malvern counter-attack then found Kennedy-Hughes, he pinned back his ears and raced 40 yards to outstrip two defenders and dive over for a memorable second try.
