I LIKE to run and not only do I enjoy taking in the beautiful scenery but it keeps me fit and keeps me in training for race events where I can raise money for charities.

However I do get annoyed about the amount of horse manure on the pavements, which I have to dodge. I know many people out there relish the idea of a horse doing its business and then shovelling up in a bag to take home for the roses, but we don't want to have to walk in it. I have seen old folk and mothers with prams walk into the road to avoid a pile of it. I am a responsible dog owner and wouldn't dream of allowing my dog to foul the pavement, if I did I would be heavily fined. If horses have to roam our roads, without paying taxes for the privilege, shouldn't their riders also take responsibility for the mess their horses are making.
