PARENTS and governors at Bidford Primary School have taken the initiative and made their own improvements to land outside the Bramley Way development.
Parents said they were furious that after years of planning and millions of pounds spent on building the new school, the front of the building looked derelict only a year after it first opened.
They said they were told by Warwickshire County Council that the contractor paid to finish the landscaping outside the school had gone into liquidation and it could take months before work was started by a new contractor.
Parent Vicky Roads took matters into her own hands by asking her employer R A Meredith and Son, in Broom, to donate 300 plants and recruited a workforce of parents, governors and children who started work last Sunday.
