STRATFORD'S music festival is coming to a conclusion - but not before enthusiasts have an opportunity to enjoy a range of performers.

The festival ends on Saturday, when King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys bring their brand of rhythm and blues and zany stage presence to the town's civic hall, beginning at 7.30pm.

Meanwhile, over at Levi Fox Hall, King Edward VI Grammar School, at the same time, sopranos Helen Groves and Rachel Godsill, together with baritone Julian Merson, will join the Stratford-upon-Avon Chamber Choir and Orchestra of the Swan to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Coronation, with Handel's Four Coronation Anthems.

Their performance also includes a concert of Purcell's Dido and Aeneas.

Tomorrow(Friday), the Methodist Church in Shipston will be the venue for a talk by John Russell on the great unknown composers.

The Shipston Music Society event begins at 7.30pm.

At Stratford's Civic Hall at 7.30pm tomorrow (Friday) the Midlands-based Fine Arts Brass Ensemble will present a programme featuring a first half of music influenced by Shakespeare, followed by a whirlwind history of jazz, ranging from ragtime to Frank Zappa.

The Shakespeare Institute, in Stratford, hosts an early music showcase, providing a platform for groups with Midlands connections, between 11am and 4pm on Saturday.

The festival box office number is 01926 496277.
