SATURDAY sees the 47th staging of the Ken Wharton Memorial Autotest on the car park of the Arrow Mill Hotel at Alcester.

Organised by the Hagley and District Light Car Club in honour of one of its former members and Formula I driver, the event first took place back in 1958.

A team representing Northern Ireland has dominated the series with last year's triumph a 28th in total. However, only one driver remains from that winning team but that man is Ken Irwin who has an amazing 14 wins to his name!

There's a strong Republic of Ireland squad, while England are also fancied to win for the first time since 1995.

Competition starts at 9.30am with the finish scheduled for 4.30pm. The venue offers superb viewing for spectators who are admitted free to an event supported by Robert Stern Mini and Hazlewood Trailers.
