EVESHAM ladies proved once again that they can compete at the highest level by winning netball's Summer League Division One crown.

The A team's undefeated record earned promotion to the highly competitive Prem-ier League.

Aline Cornish and Michelle Simons of the successful squad and Chris Ridge of the C team were voted respective Players Player of the Year at the annual presentation.

The new look C team, competing in Division Four, pulled together a mixture of their experienced players with the new wave of junior players to finish finished a commendable fourth.

Becky Shand was awarded the coach's Most Improved Player award.

Coach Steve McLeod said: "We have seen some excellent results for all our teams and the players have worked extremely hard over the year and have shown massive improvement, both in training and league matches."

The club is looking to continue their excellent results with the A team competing in Division One of the forthcoming Winter League and the C team in Division Three.

Juniors aged from 14 are welcome between 7-8pm and adults between 7.30 and 9pm.
