A CHRISTIAN rock band based in Kidderminster is warming up for its town debut at a school fund-raiser.
Lisalife, which has already played around the country since forming in March 2002, will take to the stage at Foley Park First School on Saturday, October 25 to help raise money for new equipment.
Guitarist and vocalist Steve Winnitt, whose daughters Grace and Emily go to the school, said the band was looking forward to the date.
"It's quite exciting to do it. There aren't many Christian bands around doing what we're trying to do. We are trying to reach people who just enjoy light music."
The four-piece outfit - which describes its style as ranging from ballads to prog rock - released its first CD Turns Blue in July.
The school hall venue has a capacity of 170 and the band hopes the gig will raise some £400.
Mr Winnitt added: "It's a great school. They've worked so hard and the standards have come up.
"We'll obviously be very pleased to support it."
