THE report by the Iraq Survey Group confirms what the Green Party has said from the start - that the decision to go to war was based on either flawed intelligence or deliberate deception.
There are no weapons of mass destruction.
More than 20,000 people have died as a direct result of this war, including more than 350 British and American troops to whom Saddam posed no threat whatsoever.
The Government must not be allowed to get away with putting people's lives on the line on the basis of wishful thinking.
The Greens believe that there should now be a full, public inquiry into whether Parliament and the British people were deliberately misled over the reasons for going to war, and those responsible for any deception must be held accountable for the consequences of their actions.
And remember, unlike those other political parties now attacking the Government over this issue, the Green Party is the only mainstream political party that has consistently opposed this illegal and immoral war.
