ASTUTE Bewdley resident David Henshaw did not let the low bridge leading to his house get in the way of his dream extension - he hired a train to do the job!
The Northwood Lane resident ran into trouble when working out the logistics of getting the pile of roof trusses under a low railway bridge.
But, after a quick call to the Severn Valley Railway team, the vital resources arrived by rail at a stones throw - literally - away from Mr Henshaw's home.
He said: "They arrived on flatbed carriages right outside the house. I have my own level crossing here so the train stopped and we got the trusses off.
"I say, if you've got a railway running past then you might as well use it!"
