A DISTRAUGHT Broadway family have again appealed for information about their two pedigree German Shepherd puppies which went missing when their house was burgled.

Toni Mansbridge bought the one-week-old puppies, Casper and Censo, for her eight-year-old daughter Nicole only two weeks before they disappeared from their Leamington Road home in the middle of the night.

Mrs Mansbridge said Nicole was devastated when she woke up on Saturday September 27 to see her puppies had gone.

She immediately made a sign to put on the gate asking for them to be returned, but they have yet to hear from anyone who might have seen the puppies.

The family had planned to give the police the pick of Casper and Censo's litter to train as police dogs.

Police said three men were arrested in connection with recent burglaries in the Broadway area during a search and arrest operation in Warwickshire and enquiries were continuing.

Evesham, Worcester and West Midlands Constabulary combined forces for the operation and 20 officers swooped on five addresses in Coventry.

Evesham-based Det Sgt Peter Andrews, who was in charge of the operation, said: "This was a significant operation carried out against people who are clearly prepared to travel some distance to commit burglary offences in our area.

"We have sent a clear message of intent and we have demonstrated that we have the ability, resources and resolve to strike back - and we will continue to do so."

Anyone with information about the two dogs should contact police on 08457 444 888.
