The annual meeting was held on October 1 when the result of the Pennies for Friendship appeal was announced.
Liz Rowley and Jo Powick told of their experiences at Denman, having won bursaries, then secretary Maureen McCallum, treasurer Marion Richards and president Barbara Maskell presented their annual reports.
The following new committee members were appointed: Jean Andrews, Barbara Evans, Judy Fitzpatrick, Teresa Forgill-Jenkins, Nancy James, Mrs McCallum, Judy Probert, Rosemary Reynolds, Joyce Rowthorn, Bridget Smalley, Marion Richards. Mrs Maskell was re-elected president.
Elections were overseen by WI adviser Sylvia Perkins.
Liz Cornish from WI House told of the library, which contains a collection of handicrafts, some on loan from all over the country for two years. She showed members items from the collection.
The meeting ended with poems, Mrs Perkins reading Time, and Mrs Rowley Joyce the Librarian.
The next meeting, in Chaddesley village hall, will be on Wednesday, November 5, starting at 7.30pm.
