FORMER Nottingham Forest and Worcester City defender Des Lyttle is poised to sign for Stourport Swifts.
The 32-year-old has a trial with Chesterfield next week but in the mean time is prepared to help out Swifts' boss Dave Titterton.
"Des hasn't got a club at the moment and it's an opportunity for him to keep himself ticking over while he finds another League club," said Titterton.
"I've known him a long time and hopefully he can help us out for a couple of weeks."
Lyttle made his name at Worcester City, before joining Nottingham Forest in the early 1990s but was released by West Brom at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Bromsgrove Rovers will play Whitby Town in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup after the Yorkshire side beat Warrington Town 2-1 last night.
Conference leaders Hereford United will play Harrow Borough in their fourth round tie after the Ryman Premier Division outfit won their replay with Newport on Tuesday night.
Matches will be played on Saturday, October 25.
