JORDAN Hatch ran in a hat-trick of tries as Kidderminster Carolians U-9s thumped a younger Yardley side 50-15.

Chris Tildesley, the newest coach at KCs, is doing well with raw but exciting players, many of whom have brothers and sisters in older age groups.

Chris Beddall (two), Francesca Short, Sam Needham, Aaron Pooler, Daniel Leonard and player-of-the-match George Decothi scored the other tries.

The U-14s lost 32-15 to Old Yardlians though it was a good display in their first game of the season.

Joe Elliot, Joe Johnston and player-of-the-match Chris Cook scored the tries. Alex Thompson also played well, while Tim Starky guested for the opposition.

Grant Jones, Bill Bennett, Wayne Cooper and Michael Hall have passed their first-round trials for the North Midlands team.
