Burntwood Town 4, Littleton 1
LITTLETON completed a miserable eight days when they crashed out of the Presidents Cup.
Saturday's game was a curious affair as Littleton appeared to be in little trouble until a spell of 12 minutes immediately after half-time turned the game on its head.
Littleton had the better chances in a scrappy first half. A good move down the right saw Robbie Hands cut inside but his pull back was scrambled clear. Curtis Major then shot over the bar and a Perry Beddoes free-kick flashed narrowly wide.
However, it all changed a minute after half-time. A Littleton attack broke down and the subsequent run and cross was headed in by Hawkins.
Five minutes later, it was 2-0 when, from another left wing cross, Lakin scored from close-range.
Worse followed when Scriven added a third but the visitors pulled one back on 71 minutes when Gledhill tapped in Gregory's cross.
The goal gave Littleton hope of salvaging a draw but Hawkins fired in a free-kick that sealed their fate.
Littleton lost out to a single goal at Feckenham last Wednesday in the Smedley Crooke Cup.
Littleton return to Midland Combination Division One duty on Saturday at home to last year's champions Knowle (2.45pm).
