TITUS for a tenner - that's the offer from the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Although director Bill Alexander has hailed Titus Andronicus as "the biggest blood bath in Shakespeare's canon", his depiction of some of the most extreme acts is fairly restrained and this tale of vengeance and violence has received excellent reviews
Under its special offer the RSC has a limited number of the best seats in the house available for just £10 to see the play on the evenings of October 23, 24 and 30.
The initiative follows the company's successful Festival Proms Week in August, when theatregoers were given the chance to see three plays in the main theatre for £10 each.
RSC artistic director, Michael Boyd said: "This is a great opportunity to see one of Shakespeare's most rarely performed plays.
"A brutal and horrific tragedy about revenge and retribution, this production features excellent performances and is not to be missed."
