BROMSGROVE Rovers are one win away from the FA Cup first round proper and a possible clash with Football League opposition.
George Rooney's side booked their final qualifying round place with an excellent 2-0 victory at Congleton Town last Saturday - Rovers' fourth consecutive away success in the competition.
Now they have been handed home advantage against either Warrington Town or Whitby Town at the Victoria Ground on Saturday week. The two northern sides replay tonight (Wednesday).
That match is worth £10,000 to the winners - on top of the £11,000 Rovers have earned reaching this stage - and a place in the first round draw with clubs from Divisions Two and Three.
Boss Rooney said: "It was a good result. We have done really well and have been very disciplined in our away days. Sometimes at home people expect you to play like Real Madrid.
"It's not phased us being away, it's good for team spirit. But we have great support, it has not been like playing in an away game on occasions."
The success has proved costly though as Paul Wyatt and Dave Benton missed last night's (Tuesday) 1-1 draw with Sutton Coldfield Town after picking up knocks in the cup.
And Rovers have two more important Dr Martens Western fixtures between now and their FA Cup date. They travel to Clevedon Town this Saturday and follow that up with a crunch home encounter against Gloucester City next Tuesday.
