PERSHORE singing sensation Tamsin Vaughan is looking forward to a bright future despite missing out on a place in the final rounds of Pop Idol.

Tamsin, who failed to win the public vote on last Saturday's show, has been on photo shoots and is holding talks with agents. On Tuesday she rubbed shoulders with Hollywood stars and royalty at the opening of designer Georgio Armani's exhibition at London's Royal Academy.

Tamsin said: "I was so deflated on Sunday and Monday, not because I expected to go through but because I didn't know what else to think about. The whole Pop Idol thing has been so consuming for me and my family for a month. I was feeling a bit sorry for myself!"

Just days after singing live to the nation she was contacted by an agency and is now in discussions about future projects.

Tamsin said: "I have no regrets about Pop Idol - I had the most amazing time and met the most amazing group of people."
