FIREARMS and ammunition have been stolen in a burglary at a home in Torton Lane, Torton, near Kidderminster.
The burglary happened some time between 7.30am and 10.10pm on Tuesday, October 14 and a shotgun certificate was among those items taken in the burglary.
Thieves also stole a Browning Alpha 3 Special Sporting inch to inch choke shotgun with a silver finished action and a pheasant and gundog scene above the trigger.
The other items taken were a black-finish Miroku Skeet shotgun with the last -inch of the barrel machined out, a .177 German-manufactured air pistol with break-barrel cocking mechanism, 15 Eley No. 6 cartridges with red cases and approximately 250 .177 air gun pellets.
"We're keeping an open mind as to why these specific items were taken," said a police spokesperson.
