SUNDAY'S game at the High School was evenly balanced with the final scoreline rather flattering to the hosts.
Blockley started the stro-nger and scored in the first minute. Bretforton, however, pulled their game together but they had to wait 15 minutes to equalise when Vict-oria Rhodes levelled.
Rhodes then assumed control in scoring four more before half-time when Bretforton led 4-2.
The Cotswolds club again came out fighting but failed to break down a stout home rearguard and two more from Rhodes sealed a rema-rkable individual show and a home success.
The junior squad, sponsored by Group 4, entertains Shipston on Sunday.
