YOUNG athletes at a county school took some expert advice from one of Britain's top Olympic competitors.
Every one of the 250 pupils at Abbey Park Middle School was photographed with 400m star Mark Richardson, a bronze medallist at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona.
The day was part of the Super Schools scheme, which helps introduces children to their athletics heroes to encourage them to follow in their footsteps.
And the pupils were sponsored to "train" with Mr Richardson yesterday, with the money split between the super sports project and the school itself.
The school, in Abbey Road, Pershore, has taken part in the project in previous years, with top sprinter Darren Campbell also visiting in 2002.
