THE McDonald's branches in Redditch have given other organisations food for thought after raising thousands of pounds for charity.
The restaurants have raised £4,792 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, which grants wishes to children with life threatening illnesses.
Last week, Make-A-Wish volunteer Julie Wedgbury visited McDonald's to collect cash from employee Helen Price, who was sponsored to wear her least favourite item of clothing to work for the day.
The restaurants have raised the cash over the last year by organising a charity golf day at a Droitwich golf club, selling off McDonald's toys that were no longer needed for Happy Meals and selling Make-A-Wish pins at the counter.
