THE UK's leading provider of employment opportunities for disabled people is urging businesses in Worcestershire not to worry about impending changes to the Disability Discrimination Act.
From October 2004, the Act will be extended to cover companies with fewer than 15 employees, a move that has sparked panic among many small firms.
But Coventry-based Remploy, which assists thousands of disabled people to find work every year, says the changes will cost most employers nothing to implement and could even lead to many unexpected benefits.
The company has put together a factsheet outlining the amendments to the Act, explaining how companies should comply and suggesting how they could benefit.
The leaflet Disability and the Small Business: what does it mean for you? is available by phoning Remploy on 0845 8452211.
