AT the meeting on September 25, Anne Wilson welcomed members and thanked everyone who had made cakes and helped man the stall at Wythall Carnival.
Final details of the 40th anniversary meal were given and members were asked to put their names down for the Christmas meal at Woodbourne Sports and Social Club.
Members were asked to support a beetle drive and American supper, organised by Wythall Village Hall committee, on Saturday, October 18, to raise funds for the upkeep and maintenance of the hall.
The speaker was Paul Underwood, a volunteer with the Elizabeth Svendsen Trust for children and donkeys, which teaches children with various disabilities to learn to ride and to care for and groom the donkeys.
Paul is based at the trust's centre in Sutton Park and illustrated his talk with many delightful slides.
The next meeting is on Thursday, October 23, at 7.15pm for the 40th anniversary meal.
