THE speaker at the October meeting was Mrs Jill Bache, a volunteer worker from the Casualties Union.
She told stories of incidents in which she had played the part of a casualty and also about the training given to firemen and doctors and all emergency services in these role-playing situations in preparation for real-life disasters.
Members were told of forthcoming events, including a morning walk and pub lunch, a trip to see Wythall Theatre Group and a demonstration evening making Christmas crafts.
