AS a volunteer at the Redi Centre crche for the past eight years, I would like to say a big thank you to all the children and their mums and dads for their support in our fight to keep the Redi in council hands.

Mr Paul Patten and Mr Chris Smith should come to Redi when the children are there to see them play.

The love and care they receive will be hard to beat anywhere.

They develop and grow in confidence into wonderful little people.

Parents receive lots of support and would be unable to attend courses without the on-site crche.

Redditch Council should seriously reconsider their thinking of not funding the Redi Centre.

The people who use it are council taxpayers too and deserve a duty of care from council officers.

Remember they are also voters.

There is nowhere comparable to the Redi. Nobody provides a similar service to students.

The Redi Centre is unique and is a lifeline for hundreds of people.

Do not kill it off and do not let it die a slow death.
