YOUNGSTERS and adults alike joined together for Bromsgrove Olympique Cycling Club's successful cyclo-cross event in Sanders Park last Saturday.
Organised by Geoff Dingley and the course designed by Gerry Blackmoor, races were held around the Kidderminster Road park all day.
Pete Banham won the youth race while Dominic Jelfs rode his new mountain bike to 20th place. Charlie Fellows, in his first ever race, was forced to retire with a puncture.
The U12s race saw 39 youngsters battle it out over a short course with Bromsgrove's nine-year-old Jason Dingley taking an excellent fourth place.
Alex Billington and Francine Billington took second junior and lady respectively for Olympique. Joe Dodd took was fifth junior and Pete Yates sixth.
In the seniors, Alan Dyus was 19th and Jamie Trigg 28th. Rob Greenaway was the first Olympique veteran home in ninth with Ian Dyus 22nd, Mike Cooper 25th and Richard Yates 33rd.
